Frank's home was wonderful. The photos do not do justice to the property and accommodations. I stayed with 12 people including children and we were comfortable, had ample sleeping, bathroom and dining space. I brought my own baby gates and was relieved to find additional measures present in the common areas for small children as well as three more gates. We took some recommendations from the bulletin board in the kitchen for a hike and also visited Pit Hole. The grounds are private and peaceful. After excessive rain the river was high and the waterfall next to the driveway was exciting to watch. With the water in more stable condition and warmer weather, this property is ideal for fishing, boating, creek play for kids. Highly recommend.

I stayed here with a group of 8 for 4 nights. This cabin was EXCELLENT, far better than advertised, and much larger than the pictures let on. I've been renting cabins for groups for years, and this one was up there in terms of the space, the amenities, and the ease of coordination. Some highlights: ///// The Space Itself: The driveway is spacious and can accommodate quite a few cars. The indoor fireplace is quite grand, with some of the best fire tools I've seen. It's large enough to cook inside, and two rebar hooks swivel out from which you could hang a pot or kettle over the coals. The dining room table is massive and can accommodate a group. There are lots of handwritten signs around the cabin, filling you in on specific details and notes. It's quite darling and also quite helpful. There's a piano! The TV is larger and newer than that in the photos. The kitchen is a great gathering space, even when folks cook and clean. The huge island is perfect for hanging out and snacking (and staying out of the way) while keeping the chef company. There is SO Much Space. Way more than the pictures imply. If folks in your group want to get away for some quiet for a bit, it will be available. There are many distinct gathering zones, too, so it doesn't feel like you're on top of each other, even in a large group. The basement configuration differs from the photos but has the same number of futons. There's also a ping-pong table on the screened-in porch. The little bathroom on the main floor is really helpful to keep the upstairs more of a quiet zone in the later parts of the evening. The whole-house generator kicked in immediately after a power outage, so nobody knew the power was still out! SO helpful for peace of mind. The Bald Eagles across the river hung about the whole time. We could hear them calling to each other quite loudly. ///// Cooking: The stove has been updated from the photos. It's electric and works great. The kitchen is perfect for several people cooking AND others hanging out without getting in each other's way. The cook's table is a great addition, helping keep the counter available for working space. The window overlooking the river is a delight. There are plenty of pots, pans, and cooking supplies, in addition to a ton of plates, bowls, and sturdy plastic cups of several sizes. There's enough hardware to cook anything you need. Pay attention to the list they provide about what kitchen items to bring, as there are no pantry staples on hand. ///// Communication & Coordination WiFi speed in the house was excellent. Frank was great about sending all the details over in advance. The documentation was accurate, especially the "what to bring" list. When the power went out, I texted Frank, and he told me they already knew and had reported it. He kept me updated on the timing for restoration too, which we all appreciated."

River Beauty: This was the second year I have taken my large family to unwind at this beautiful gem on the river. It's a perfect spot to take off on the kayaks and canoe, then play evening kickball games in the nice large yard followed by grilling dinners on the old but glorious stone grill, and don't forget the evening fire with smores at the fire pit. The views are spectacular and we just can't get enough of it all! Frank is a wonderful host, thank you Frank!
